Andrea Segre’s second film takes us to a beautiful and wild valley in the Trentino to tell the story of the friendship between a young local boy and an immigrant from Africa.
Everything is narrated with Segre’s characteristic poetry and sensitivity, and one of the main characters, the young boy (played by Matteo Marchel) was a local to the area. His performance was so powerful that the director changed the script to suit him. The rest of the cast includes Jean-Cristophe Folly, Anita Caprioli, Peter Mitterutzner, Giuseppe Battiston and Paolo Pierobon.
Superlatively photographed by Luca Bigazzi, the film premiered at the 70th Venice International Film Festival.
